My best Christmas ever by

I have great memories of Christmas in New York, where I was lucky enough to spend two Christmases while I was living there. We were far away from our family so we really pulled out all the stops to make up for it! The famous "Radio City Christmas Spectacular", the Rockettes' Christmas show, the photo of the Rockefeller Center tree, shopping on Fifth Avenue and walks in Dyker Heights (a Brooklyn neighbourhood where the residents all put up kitsch decorations and fairy lights, to try and create the craziest Christmas house!). Not forgetting the skating rink in Central Park and TV dinners in front of "Home Alone".

My best Christmas ever was in 1994, when my cousins and I stayed at my grandparents' country house in Provence. The presents arrived in the middle of the evening and we were excited to go and find them under the huge tree. We were so ecstatic that we started to unwrap our presents as we brought them inside. A wonderful memory of a magical evening.

I remember when I was a little girl and Father Christmas came at night.
My grandfather always said he'd seen Father Christmas with his sleigh and reindeer, flying in the sky.
I was so excited... a truly magical feeling!

When I was little, before going to bed on Christmas Eve,
we always put two clementines and a glass of milk out for Santa
so he could take a break and regain his strength before continuing on his rounds.I later learned that my grandmother's dog had his own little Christmas before everyone else
and was allowed to drink the milk and eat a few clementine segments before the gifts were put under the tree.

To survive the family Christmas marathon, I have my morning sports ritual ...
Even before opening Christmas gifts, I rush on my sport shoes and run 6 kilometers
A little sport session to burn off that extra Christmas weight... it feels so good!
And it whets your appetite :)

Every year with my sisters, we wanted to wake up our parents on Christmas morning.
It's a bit strange, I know, but it's our tradition!
